How we clean

Watch it happen, step by step.

Three steps. Scroll, and watch each one happen.

01 · The water

Filtered to 0 PPM.

Learn Lucent

Windows spot because tap water is full of minerals, and ours has none. It is filtered three times through carbon, reverse osmosis and DI resin down to 0 PPM before it ever touches the glass, so it dries invisible: no film, no streaks, nothing left on the glass.

02 · The reach

26 feet up.
Zero ladders.

Learn Lucent

Now that pure water goes up. A 26-foot carbon-fiber pole cleans your second story right from the ground. Four jets float the dirt off the glass, a soft brush sweeps the corners where grime hides, and nothing ever leans on your home.

03 · The finish

Finished by hand.

Learn Lucent

Pure water lifts the everyday dirt; we hand-finish the rest. Hard-water spots and paint? 0000 steel wool, the finest grade made and softer than glass, lifts baked-on sprinkler spots without a scratch. We bring out the mop and squeegee when a pane needs it — with a mild cleaning solution if the glass calls for one — and every frame and sill is hand-dried.

Why it is worth it

More than a nice-to-have.

The glass on your house is one of the first things anyone sees, and a film of grime quietly dims every room behind it. When it comes off, the change is not subtle. Rooms feel brighter, the view comes back, and the whole place reads as cared for.

There is a practical side too. What settles on your windows is not just dust. It is sprinkler spray, tree sap, pollen and the fine grit the Santa Anas drive into everything, and left on the glass it slowly wears the surface down. Cleaning it off on a regular schedule protects windows you already paid a lot of money for, and it costs a tiny fraction of replacing them.

Most homes here do best on twice a year. That keeps the glass genuinely clear and stops the buildup before it ever gets a foothold. If you are near open land, a construction site, or a row of sprinklers, you will notice it wants doing a little more often than that.

The problem nobody warns you about

Hard water is etching your glass.

Here in the Valley the water out of your hose is hard — a heavy load of dissolved minerals, mostly calcium and magnesium. You never see them while the water is wet. You see them the second it dries.

Every time a sprinkler catches a window, the water evaporates and leaves those minerals behind. At first it is a light scatter of white dots. Leave it, and every watering stacks another layer until the dots harden into a chalky film that a paper towel just smears around.

Given enough time the minerals stop sitting on top of the glass and start bonding to it. They begin to etch the surface, and once glass is etched there is no cleaner on earth that brings it back. That is a window you have to replace.

Drag to compare. Left is what the Valley leaves behind. Right is glass we caught in time.

So we wash with water stripped all the way down to zero minerals — nothing we leave behind can ever spot. Where spots are already baked on, we lift them with 0000 steel wool, a grade so fine it is actually softer than the glass, so the mineral comes off without ever scratching the pane.

Catch it early and your windows look new again. Wait too long and even we cannot rescue etched glass. If you are already seeing white spots that will not wipe off, that is your sign to book.

Gentle by design

Kind to your home & garden.

What washes your glass is water — filtered all the way down to zero, nothing harsh in it at all. It rinses off clean, will not burn your lawn or spot your siding, and it is completely safe around kids, pets and plants. On the hand finish we will reach for a mild cleaning solution if a pane genuinely needs one, and it gets wiped and rinsed away with that same water.
